I never tire of painting these beautiful little birds. This pair were building a nest in my dog's yard and didn't mind a bit when I sat and photographed them. They don't seem to worry about us humans much at all. I love the way they share their world with us.
Why 'Speak To The Sky'?
I just happened to be listening to Rick Springfield at the time, and I believe that sunbirds are messengers of beauty from the Gods.
